چکیده

Abstract Carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) is extensively used in automotive and aerospace industries with the aim to achieve reduction on emissions by reducing weight. Due governmental regulations reduce environmental impact waste, need for remanufacturing CFRP becoming an interesting area of application economic benefits industry. This important as manufacturing carbon a costly process more cost effective reduces dependency virgin materials. Processing meet demands, fast high-quality cuts, can impose problems conventional methods. The use multi-pass scanning technique laser cutting investigated using 1.5 kW assist gas pressure 16 bar flow rate 126 lt/min. Using technique, through cut be obtained repeating beam travel than once. advantage when compared traditional CNC, low maintenance over time due non-contact nature i.e. no wear tool at contact area. And small spot size complex shapes cut. paper determine how performs terms speed damage. Average power was carried out experimental tests. A damage below 100 µm 2.5 m/min above obtained. Thermal effects were analyzed electron microscope (SEM) optical (OM). further optimized specialist methods such double aperture nozzle trenching. trenching 10 50 µm, respectively 7.5 3.33 m/min.

Dynamic Characteristics of Joined Steel and Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Plastic Tubes: Experimental and Numerical Investigation

The fundamental frequencies and mode shapes of steel and carbon fiber–reinforced plastic (CFRP) cylindrical shells with steel inserts were investigated using finite element analysis and modal testing. The free-free boundary condition was tested with modal testing using the roving hammer method and verified by finite element analysis using ABAQUS. The results show good agreement between the test...

Fiber reinforced plastic composites using recycled materials

This work investigates the feasibility of using recycled high density polyethylene (rHDPE), recycled polypropylene (rPP) and old newsprint fiber (ONP) to manufacture fiber reinforced composites. The boards were made through air-forming and hot press. The effects of the fiber loading and coupling agent content on tensile, flexural, internal bond properties and water absorption and thickness swel...

Development of a Staggered PCD End Mill for Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic

This work presents a PCD (polycrystalline diamond) end mill with a new staggered structure for the milling of CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic). The magnitude and direction of cutting force is decreased and changed by side-edge re-configuration of the structure. The flute and insert pocket of the staggered PCD end mill are designed considering the tool’s stiffness and welding process. The ...

Fiber Laser for Micro Cutting of Metals

The fiber laser concept is proven technology for telecom applications where its single mode performance and reliability is essential. Newer generation diode-pumped fiber lasers are using pump diodes especially developed for telecom applications and therefore offer excellent controllability of the laser pulse length and pulse frequency. In recent years the output power of fiber lasers has increa...

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Bismaleimide Composites

Bismaleimide (BMI) resins are developed very rapidly due to the demands of the defense and aerospace industries. They are cross-linked polymers which process like epoxy resins but have an upper use temperature of 230°C, compared to the epoxy upper use temperature of 175°C. Also due to the available intrinsic properties of BMI resins such as higher thermal stability and lower toxicity than those...
